In this morning meditation series we will explore the eight pillars of joy, which are eight qualities that we can cultivate on the path of meditation: perspective, humility, humor, acceptance, forgiveness, gratitude, compassion, and generosity. These qualities of mind and heart lead to greater inner peace and joy, and help us to more gracefully navigate the inevitable challenges we face in our lives. We will explore each of these pillars through gentle movement, guided meditation, personal reflection, and group discussion.

This series of classes will be guided by The Book of Joy, a collaboration by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, and Douglas Abrams. Through their words they transmit the wisdom of their hearts and minds and share decades of practice and life experience with us. It is a joy to read and overflowing with jewel of insight and inspiration.
